Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, travel to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems renowned for its impressive elephant population and magnificent baobab trees.

Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse habitats while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, ostriches, and numerous bird species. Tarangire’s seasonal river attracts wildlife throughout the year, making it an excellent location for wildlife photography.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later in the day, travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your selected safari lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries, home to thousands of animals living within its natural walls. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, spotted hyenas, jackals, wildebeests, zebras, and the rare black rhinoceros.

Pause for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your exploration of this extraordinary ecosystem.

In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but incredibly diverse park known for its lush forests, open grasslands, and alkaline lake.

Enjoy a morning game drive through habitats that support elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys, buffaloes, hippos, and a remarkable variety of birdlife, including flamingos during the appropriate season. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the park before beginning your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
